Privacy Policy

MAJIE (“MAJIE”, “we”, “us”) is a Learning Management System used by students, instructors, and administrators to manage subjects, lessons, activities, quizzes, grading, and related communication. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses MAJIE, whether through an institution or an individual account.

• Account information: Name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and role (student, instructor, or administrator).
• Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to create or match your account.
• Academic activity: Subjects, lessons, and materials you create or are enrolled in; activity and quiz submissions; grades and gradebook entries; and portfolio content you choose to add.
• Communications: Chat messages you send to other students, instructors, or administrators through MAJIE, and notifications we send you (including, if you opt in, push notifications to your device).
• Usage and device data: Log data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, collected automatically to operate and secure the service.

We use the information above to:

• Provide, maintain, and secure the MAJIE service, including authentication and authorization.
• Deliver core LMS features — subjects, lessons, activities, quizzes, grading, and chat.
• Send account, grading, and chat notifications, including push notifications you opt into.
• Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the reliability of the platform.

MAJIE can generate a draft lesson structure from a topic an instructor provides. That topic, along with the generated draft, may be processed by a third-party AI provider in order to produce the draft. Instructors review, edit, and choose whether to publish any AI-assisted draft — nothing is published to students automatically.

Instructor profiles and student portfolios have a public page (for example, a shareable portfolio link) that anyone with the link can view without signing in. You control what you add to your portfolio or profile, and only the sections and items you choose to include are shown there.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

• Within your institution: Instructors and administrators associated with your subjects can see the coursework, grades, and chat messages relevant to those subjects.
• Service providers: We use infrastructure providers to operate MAJIE, including a real-time messaging provider that delivers chat updates as they happen. These providers process data only on our behalf.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MAJIE, our users, or others.

We retain account and academic data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or academic record purposes.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including password hashing, encrypted connections, and access controls scoped to your role — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

MAJIE is designed to be used through an educational institution. If you are a student under the age of consent in your jurisdiction, your school or a parent/guardian is expected to have authorized your use of MAJIE consistent with their own policies.

• Access or update your account information from your account settings.
• Turn push notifications on or off at any time.
• Request deletion of your account by contacting us at the address below.

MAJIE uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the product.
